No matter what kind of retaining wall you need, we can build it. We make sure to build them correctly so they do not fail. Retaining wall failures are far more prominent than you may think. Mecklenburg County has had so many issues with collapsing walls that they finally had to pass legislation to deter unqualified contractors from building them incorrectly and now require an engineer’s sealed design for any walls built over 5′ tall. Because of all the un-qualified contractors that have started building retaining walls in our area, we now re-build more collapsed retaining walls than we have build new ones. Make sure you hire a quality contractor and do not let yourself become lured by a cheap price. The geogrid, toe drain, gravel backfill, and stone footing are more important than the actual block installation. There is a lot more to it than just stacking blocks on top of each other.
